Volunteering & Internships

Volunteering

There are a wide variety of ways you might be able to help and get involved – from leading conservation projects, to helping the co-farmers on their daily rounds, to preparing food, feeding the animals, helping in the cafe or farm store, running events, collecting eggs, or anything else you can turn your hand to…

More widely we are lucky to have people volunteering their time to help build an Agrarian Renaissance at Church Farm in all its aspects from financial advice to marketing and business development help. Our aim is to replicate what we do successfully.

We need all the help we can get from people passionate about creating an alternative agriculture and food system, both to pioneer and work hands on here, and to help replicate sustainable local food systems themselves.

The way we run the enterprise here is not by having "managers" and "workers", but leaders/ faculty / teachers and learners / supporters / interns / future entrepreneurs.

We have Euan, Paul, Guiomar, and Dave, who are experienced lecturers and responsible for various enterprises as well as Adrian our Head Chef, Cafe & Catering manager and Emma, co-founder of MotivAction plc.. Through Rural Care we have Ann De Bock plus her team of Care Workers and Co-Farmers.

As Interns we have a range of people united by being able to contribute to the enterprise, passionate about learning bout food and farming and open to learning about enterprises we run here, with a view to replication. Our team range from pre-university gap year, to mostly graduates and post grads, majority with work and life experience of many years too.
