Customer Feedback

Can I say first of all how much we enjoyed our visit.  What a wonderful day out!  I found the tour around the farm really interesting.  I think I was expecting some kind of tame, prettied-up tourist farm, but what you provided was so much better and more interesting than that.  I would like to bring the rest of my family back soon.

Me and my friend along with our 4 children had a WONDERFUL time in both your Cafe and wondering around the farm.  EVERYONE we came across from the waitress, the shop keeper, the chef and assistants on the farm were SO forth coming to ask if we were ok or needed any help.  The waitress adapted the menu to suit our children's needs, the chef made sure we were aware we could help ourselves to jugs of tap water, the farm assistants were sure to assist us in seeing the best of the farm and happily assisted our navigations.

I will highly recommend all my friends to pay you a visit with or without children and look forward myself to coming again soon.

Thank you very much for a lovely morning yesterday.  The children all enjoyed their visit and were full of it this morning!  We were extremely fortunate with the weather, which really helped the visit to be a success and we felt very welcomed by your friendly faces.  Some of the parent helpers were so impressed with the farm that they are talking about taking their children back for a visit some other time, especially as they are able to buy your own home produced food.

The children (and teachers!) have arrived back full of mud and enthusiasm.  Very many thanks for your hospitality. On a personal note, I had a lovely lunch in your tea shop on Sunday and am please to see that everything continues to go from strength to strength.  In these times of generally uncertain customer service, it is a real pleasure to be served by your cheery and obliging staff.

We had a thoroughly good time on Saturday night and the food was amazing. Emma insisted that I make special mention of the Walnut Sponge desert but it would be wrong to pick any one course out as everything was very tasty indeed.

If we weren't about to emigrate then we'd definitely be visiting more frequently. The country themed nights look very interesting. We've also made sure to mention it to friends and family etc. Thanks again.. I'm sure that Church Farm will be on our list of places to re-visit as an when we return to the UK on holiday, as we inevitably will.

I recently attended the spinning workshop in 4 sessions at Church Farm, taught by Anne Leonard, and I’d like to take this opportunity to say what a great workshop it was.

Anne was a very good teacher and her step-by-step approach to using the wheel was just right for me. I was pleased that the series of workshops covered all aspects of the spinning process, from preparing the fleece to plying the yarn. Anne’s teaching style was very flexible and tailored to what my fellow student and I wanted to get out of the course. Therefore I really felt that I came away with the knowledge that I wanted, and had ample opportunity to ask questions and get Anne’s help with any problems I had with spinning.

I felt that it was good to have a series of workshop sessions, giving me the opportunity to build up my skills over the 4 weeks. I had a little previous knowledge of hand-spindling, so had some experience of spinning fibre. Therefore I was able to come away from the first session with some fairly passable spun and plied yarn. If I had been a complete beginner, I’m not sure that a single day would have been enough for me to gain much confidence from the workshop. However, the 4 successive workshop sessions has given me the confidence to ‘have a go’ on my own. In fact, I have just ordered myself a spinning wheel!
